Washbrook Cottage, at Washbrook Farm, Edge Lane, Edge, Gloucestershire, GL6 6NF.
The farm is right between Painswick and Edge in the Washbrook Valley.
If you are approaching via Edge on the A4173 turn off onto Edge Lane (or Cud Lane which leads to Edge Lane). Follow Edge Lane through the village and continue down the hill until you see a row of cottages on the left hand side. After the cottages you will head downhill again and the lane becomes quite dark due to tree cover and the high-sided banks. As the road opens up slightly the turn to Washbrook is on the right. If you start going uphill you have gone to far!! After making the turn follow the drive for about a 1/4 of a mile and the farm and Cottage are straight ahead of you.
If you are approaching from Painswick on the A46 make the tight turn onto Edge Road (directly opposite the church gate). Follow the road out of the village and down the hill towards Edge. As the road begins to flatten out in the bottom of the valley you will pass a turn for Dorey’s Mill on the right. About 25 metres further on just as you start to go uphill take the left turn – signposted for Washbrook Farm. After making the turn follow the drive for about a 1/4 of a mile and the farm and Cottage are straight ahead of you.
